Yeah, I can't see a header banner either. Heh, even a simple white text banner in Times new Roman would be preferable to nothing. The banner is the first thing people will see when they visit your forum, you sort of need to have it to give them a good impression of the place.

We're quite an established community. A bit run down recently is all. Just a little scrubbing here and there will fix it all.

It can be annoying, it's true (I've had it myself in a few sites I've run), but at the same time you want to attract new members to your site (which I assume you do) you are more or less obliged to take every comment equally. It's not a large problem now that you are very active, but as members come and go you may want to attract more to keep up the speed.

We did have a banner. The problem is in the coding, which got a bit messed up and is not showing the banner. Unfortunately, it's not something that can be fixed easily or quickly, but when one of us has the time, we will surely try to fix it. Thank you for your comment. =)

If someone is going to take the time to fix it, why don't you run a competetion to re-design the banner/background here? There's nothing wrong with what we've got, it's just that grey's a bit. . .bleh.

Nah, we do have a banner - that's not the problem. It's that there's a coding problem which means the banner is not showing up; now I know nothing about anything technical, and we've only really got one or two admins who can do anything about it, and they're looking into it as best as they can.

Because I haven't been around for some time recently, I'm not sure it the bluish grey gradient is part of the banner, but I thought it was the Artemis Fowl Confidential one with the yellow sort of static as a background. I liked that one.

Sorry not much input, but a design competition would be a cool thing.
