It's arrived at the library. I'm going there in a few minutes to pick it up.

Yay! I first read this book from the library, but I've since purchased it, simply because it's so awesome and I shall probably reread it at some point. Even though I don't usually reread books. (Except for HP, which I reread a lot, for some reason...) But that's getting away from the point. I'm glad you're getting the book, Gus. XD

Hrm, well, you can see it either way. One the one hand, it is a waste not to reread a good book from which you can get more the second time around, but on the other hand, it's also a waste to spend time reading a really good book that you've already read when you could be reading a new really good book. I suppose it depends on 1. how good the book was, 2. how much you remembered, and 3. how many other good books there are available.

I mean, I don't reread a lot of books - just the ones that truly deserve my attention the second time around. Otherwise, I think it's better to read new books. *shrug*

The book seems to be interesting. I will have to have a good look in the school library, aswell as in our local library. The amount of English books in both is very limited, but I hope I'll find one.

I can't read the book. It is not available yet in all the libraries in Singapore. Checked the catalouge few days ago and the bookshop too. I'll try to find it in my school library on Monday but most probally they don't have too since the national library didn't even have it.

Agh, I was going to go to the national library after I read this and now I know they don't have it. I'll try bookshops, but I have more faith in the school library since they have many, many comics, and I once found Mennyms Alive there, which the national library doesn't have. Just goes to show, artefo, that even though the NLB may not have it the school library may.
I'm thirsty. Is anyone else thirsty?

I keep meaning to read the book (I even got it from the library) but I just can't find the time! It's so frustrating, but I keep getting distracted, usually by another book. Sorry, I'm just not cut out for all the deep, complex, oldish sort of novels, can we read something more modern next time?

Oh? Yeah, I know, it sounds like such a great book! I wish they had libraries here.... The books sold here suck. Well, not really, but they're usually buy-able in normal bookstores, where we sell Indonesian books. They always have and Imported Books section.

I mean, the young adults' novels are just a couple of shelves. And they're usually filled up majorly with Harry Potter, Clique series, lots of prints of ASoUE (but only a little bit of variation, if you get what I mean), Buffy, Meg Cabot, and all those stuffs. Hardly interesting. *sigh*

I may try to get a copy when I go to U.S.A--it's still months away, but I'm really excited, the others too, and we're already making plans! I think I'll make a list of "stuff I need to buy"...

EDIT'D LATER: Err, where is this "1001 books you must read before you die" thing? Is it a book?

Wow, I've got to find that book one day and read all the books before I die...

Sounds really interesting. I've heard of it before, but haven't actually seen it around.

And it's not that long either!

In addition to that, it's the latest entry in 1001 books you must read before you die.

I change my mind Jangrafess, it is actually pretty good now that I'm really getting into it. I didn't have enough time to really read it before. But now it's already the beginning of March! Oh well, better late than never.

P.S. I just assumed it was old because of the wording and all, sorry (not that I don't like old books). I realize that's just because it's set in the past. And I don't have a problem with the length either, I love long books!

Um... what wording are you talking about? o_O And have you actually read many books? Because if you've sampled a wide range of literature, I wouldn't think you'd see NLMG's wording as old-fashioned...
