Welcome to the site, Dragon Rider. Glad to see you're having fun and not posting in netspeak, but please read the forum rules in their entirety before posting and *certainly* before making topics, particularly these sections:

2) ... Have at least five distinct words in your post, and limit your use of smileys/emoticons to no more than 4 per post.

3) Make sure that your threads have what the topic is about, your views and something to discuss.
Threads like the one you've created here are not appreciated; your post was extremely short, provided no basis for discussion and (though this is not in the forum rules) supported Eragon, which many people here dislike. It's fine if you do like Paolini, but please at least explain WHY if you're going to make a topic-starting post about it.

I'll leave this thread unlocked so that you can expand.

Thanks, and again, welcome to AFC.

Oh, Welcome to AFC..Personally I dislike Eragon, its so cliche and you can tell the plot line is stolen. Not to mention the writing is horrible and uninteresting. My favorite movie is POTC Dead man's chest.

*Stares* You, POTC 2? Wow, I thought it would have been some futurustic sci-fi movie. *Shrugs* Personally I like the first and third better, Dead man's chest is amazingly fun to watch a couple of times (probably the most would be around 4), but the other two don't depend as much on the gags and have more engaging plots. Anyways, I can't really say I have a favorite movie, I'm still young and am yet to see anything truly life changing or exceptional (like the effect the Godfather had with the Baby Boomers and Star Wars on generation X). Popcorn flicks no. Special effects will always be improving and so it's not worth it to change favorite movies every summer based on which one is best eye candy or has best gags. I guess it goes back to my first statement, I'm still young and need to wait what Hollywood comes up with in the years to come and see if it compares with today's classics. For the time being the closest that come are:

a. LOTR (best was Return of the King)
b. Life is Beautiful
c. Titanic

I agree, Spirited Away is amazing, good choice Very Happy. Never seen Schindler's List though, half of me wants to but the other half (the very sentimetal one) would probably have a hard time dealing with the whole Holocaust subject. Is it intense?

P.S. XD I was just doing some AF role play based on the Matrix.

Yeah Spirited Away was perfect! <3 It has everything: escapism, gorgeous soundtrack, and the art!! <3

Yep, SL is the most intense movie I've ever seen. I was tempted to press the stop button on many occasions and/or run away but I'm glad I stayed put for the three hours. Amazing plot -nothing boring or filler for a 3 hour film-and acting too.

The RPG sounds interesting, got a link? I don't role play but I'd love to read it! =D

I can't decide which one I like best, but here are a few of my faves:

Monty Python. Annahay and I watched that like, three times when I was there for Xmas!!!!!!

Ghost Rider. Don't tell me that Marvel isn't fricking AWESOME!

POTO. Okay, aside from Emmy Rossum, it's a fantastic movie. The broadway is better, especially in London. London pwns my local theatre. (duh)

I currently have three favorite movies: The Lord of the Rings (I'm counting the three as one movie for the purpose of this thread), In America, and Girl, Interrupted.

Hmmm... most of the movies people are mentioning I either have never seen, or haven't seen in a long time. Spirited Away is great, though.

Pirates of the Caribbean (I like AWE best)
Shrek (2 is my favourite at the moment, haven't seen 3 yet)
(Referring to the entire trilogy/series) These two are my absolute favourites. I could watch them every fortnight and not get tired of them. But I don't because of time constraints. It's more like once a month, maybe.

Well, I'm a big fan of popcorn flicks, especially if they have to do with computers, so my favorite movie, right now, would have to be Ocean's 11.

I normally don't like horror films but my favorite movie would have to be Psycho. That movie wuz simply incredible, and it wuz my first Alfred Hitchcock film, too. Then second would probly be either The Seventh Seal or 12 Angry Men. My other favorites would be Alice in Wonderland (I actually liked it more than the book it wuz based on), Annie Hall, Wayne's World, Little Miss Sunshine, Duck Soup, The Wizard of Oz, Dr. Strangelove, and a ton of others.
