The original Grudge was Korean.

I thought War of the Worlds was scary as hell, and I'm not very sure why...maybe it's the childhood-nightmare-turned-reality premise. I think I was the only one shouting out 'OMG'! at certain scenes in the theater at the time. Tres embarassing. Shocked

I saw War of the Worlds. It didn't scare me, but I thought it was really interesting.

When I read the book for the first time I was 9-10 years old. It slightly freaked me out at that time but when I saw the movie I didn't get so scared. It was a good movie though. The only scene that made me jump a bit was when that burning train appears all of a sudden.

I've seen that Grudge too. I love the Grudge. It does scare me, but more than that it's a hell lot of fun. xD

And yeah, I was so convinced as a child that Independence Day (the movie) was based on true events. My brother is SO evil. Razz

V for Vendetta freaked me out, but I haven't seen too many movies. Jaws scared the crap out of me when I was little.

Ooooh, yeah. I just saw The Shining by Stephen King. Creeeeepy. Probably the only real scary movie I've seen though, so I'm not sure if I'm the right person to ask.

Erm. I've never been scared by horror films, except The Hills Have Eyes 1. Not because it was scary, but because it was revolting. I can stand all the blood and gore in the world, but not disturbing/sexual stuff o_o That really does freak me out.

However I find the Saw films interesting...actually they're hilarious, so I wouldn't recommend them if you're looking for something scary. The Ring 1 & 2, those are good. Again, not particularly scary, but the plots are good.

And my fellow horror movie lovers, if you want a real good laugh then watch The Butcher. If you're like me, you'll be falling off your seats laughing.

Heh, I first saw The Ring in Band class. XD We had a sub, and we convinced him that it would be way better than watching Leonard Bernstein for the umpteenth time. I liked it, but to this day, I cannot watch the scene with the horse on the ferry. Seriously, I just can't. It made me feel like throwing up the first time. Anything that has animals getting hurt/killed in really gross/creepy ways, I can't watch.
The Ring 2 didn't impress me much- though I found the scene when Rachel's (er, that's her name, right?) car is attacked by Crazy Deer of D00M hilarious. Laughing
... But maybe that's just me.

I haven't seen many horror films on the whole. Other than The Ring saga... I saw Hide and Seek, but I didn't think it was that scary. (Not quite sure why it was rated R...) I'm more a fan of psychological thrillers, myself.

Haha, the crazy deer attacking Rachel's car was hilarious.
I found The Ring better than Ring 2, purely because Martin Henderson was in the first one x_x
My friend and I totally fell in love with him, and at the end when Rachel falls down the well and Noah screams "RACHEEEEEL!" I was all "Oh yeah, see, he's screaming my name Cool" (because my name's Rachael too...spelt differently, obviously) and my friend was like "Keep dreaming." xD

But anyway, moving on from my teenie-like ways, I thought Samara was really cool. My friend was terrified of her and made me sleep by the TV Laughing

I love psychological thrillers. I remember once we watched Paperhouse in drama. S'posed to be scary but not really. It was about the theories of the subconscious mind when you your body is in a weak state...
Hide and Seek - People had said it was scary so I watched and I was just waiting for those part.

Hah, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I like evil children. I am one, after all. My sister has long, very dark brown hair, and when she lets it hang over her face she looks a lot like Samara, and it's awesome. I should try to get her to do it so I can take a picture and post it in my journal. Laughing
Yeah. Samara was the best thing about those movies, hands-down.

I've heard of Paperhouse, Marzey. Never seen it, though. Maybe I'll check it out...

Sweeney Todd rocked. I don't know if I would call it scary, though. But it is a gore-fest, even though it looks really, really fake. So if violence scares you, this is the movie to see. I totally loved it, even though I probably don't seem like the person who'd like a movie like that.
