Artemis Fowl is a definite on that I want to see on screen. Also, I would like to see the Jack Sparrow series as a movie. It'll be different to see Jack Sparrow back before the POTC days.

Obviously Artemis Fowl, but also (like people have said) Maximum Ride. Those two are my favorites and I'm dying to see them on the big screen!

Deception Point by Dan Brown I also really want to see as a movie.
Airman
And I want to see A Thousand Splendid Suns as a movie, but in English.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy It has the potential for epic fight scenes, complete with snarky anti-hero, young hero, evil adult, and in one of the reviews the guy even described it as 'cinematic action'.

I also think some of Eding's longer series, such as Belgariad or Elenium have potential. They have such a varied cast, plus plenty of action.

Oh! And I want to see Morrow Days. Such an epic saga!
Thankyou for my avvie, Rain! I luv it!!!

Do not let the Cat out. No matter what I tell you. :shiny:

Never say that! Never! Run before you walk! Fly before you crawl! Keep moving forward! Because if we fail, I'd rather fail really hugely. All or nothing!

I would love to see The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, The Uglies series by Scott Westerfield, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Peter and the Starcatchers series by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, Artemis Fowl (of course!!), and The Stoneheart Trilogy by Charlie Fletcher all made into movies.

Personally I'd love to see Garth Nix's Old Kingdom trilogy on the big screen - but I'd be SO scared that they'd sterling silver butter knife it up because it's one of my favourite books.

Yeah--for most of the books that I'd like to see on screen, I'd so much infinitely prefer there be no movie than a bad movie. Either come out with something solid or just leave it alone. Eragon was ruined for me, same with Series of Unfortunate Events. And I don't even mean that it has to be completely faithful to the book, either--Stardust is one of my favorite movies and about half of it was actually in the book. I just want something that's decent.

Artemis Fowl
The Cry of Icemark by Stuart Hill
Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella
Even The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke (Especially since they make movies more exciting. I can't believe I'm actually hoping they'll change the books a bit, if they ever make it a movie)
TAC
Spoiler:
'I must go,Butler,' said Artemis firmly.'My mind is eating me alive.I think the guilt is the main problem.I must do whatever I can to atone.'
'And?' said Butler,unconvinced.
Artemis held his arms out so that Foaly could drape the suit sleeves over them.
'And I will not be beaten by that jackass.'
'Jackass?'said Foaly,wounded.‘My favourite uncle is a jackass.'
From here
Spoiler:
If asked in class what the Avada Kedavra curse does, yelling "It does DEATH!" may be correct but is not the manner in which one should answer.
The proper way to report to Professor McGonagall is "You wanted to see me, Professor?" Not "I have it on good authority that you have no evidence."

Actually The Thief Lord has already been made into a movie. I've seen it. It's not that good. Sorry to disappoint you.

^Ah, well, I suppose I should get used to bad movies of books.

Incidentally, Confessions of a Shopaholic is a really fun movie on its own, but it sucks as a movie of the book. So I really dunno whether I prefer most books completely deviating from the plot but still being good movies or trying to stick to the plot and end up being crap.

Thoughts?

It really depends on the book/movie I guess. Ella Enchanted was a cute movie, but in with relation with the book, it was worst adaption I've ever seen!

Other than Artemis Fowl I'd like to see Matched by Ally Condie become a movie.
And The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (I know its based on a fairy tale) but Hale's version of the story was amazing and I loved every bit of it so I hope that makes it to the big screen.

call me a freak, but almost every book I read, i direct in my head while reading.... I would like all the good books to become good movies so that all my (I-cant-read) friends would understand what I'm talking about...
Hi people.
I have something very important to tell you.
But now I forgot what it was.
Maybe I'll remember later. who knows.
If I will, I'll be sure to write it. So..... Yeah.
Dismissed. Carry on.

The Emerald Atlas.
A Series Of Unfortunate Events (all of them).
The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.
Absolutely anything by Terry Pratchett.
And, above any of those, the Time Quake trilogy.

I just finished reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and I think it would be an amazing movie. It's about a living boy raised by ghosts in a cemetery. Tim Burton could adapt it, if possible.
