angels & demons

Postby evil pixie » Thu Jun 04, 2009 10:25 pm

I watched it a few days ago and it was AWESOME.
1. tom hanks' hair looks a lot better than in the davinci code
2. there is a lot more action
3. very different from the book, but this is one of the times where they actually get it right.

I haven't seen Angels&Demons, or the Da Vinci Code yet, but I have read The Da Vinci Code and I'm in the process of getting ahold of Angels&Demons. Dan Brown is one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to see Angels&Demons, it looks incredible.

It looks very realistic, i mean both the conest and the story, more than the da vinci code.

Actually a pretty good movie, even though it goes against a lot of the stuff I believe as a Christian. But still good. I just treat it like a work of fiction. :lick:
Spoiler:
...which reminds me of all that useless uproar about The Da Vinci Code. It's fiction, get over it.

Meh, not going to bother getting into specifics. I'm not Catholic, but...

The CERN infiltration was interesting. Grotesque, but interesting. :lick:

Dan Brown's books don't really go against Christiananity and stuff. Like if you're american, you're not afraid to say that america has some faults. Dan is actually Christian (a lot of people don't know that).

I went to go watch it with my dad on Father's Day.
...IT WAS AWESOME.
I want to read the book now, but he won't let me, apparently it's a lot different.
...Though now that I think about it, his copy of it is right here next to me. :| It's in Spanish though, which means I'll have to have my Spanish-English dictionary open next to me the whole time. Sad, considering that Spanish is my first language. I think.
Anyway, I'm rambling, so (spoilers just in case?):
Spoiler:
The Camerlengo or whatever was my favorite character ever. I literally started sobbing when he almost committed suicide with the thing, and the helicopter, and the parachute, and the thing... I really did not expect it when we found out he was the one behind the whole thing. Sigh.
...Yeah, I pretty much contributed nothing to the conversation :)

Apparently the guy who wrote the book, I forget his name even though it's somewhere above, is actually a christian minister, and he said that the story had nothing offensive about catholics in the story.
