Fave Disney Movie/character

Postby Fantasykat » Sat Feb 26, 2011 10:51 pm

I DESPISE most Disney princesses. Take these chicks for example: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty ect. Um.... where's the female power? They just sat around waiting for some pretty boy to ride a horse around and save their skinny butts!
Let's talk Mulan! AWESOME! The music is great (Donny Osmand!) the animation is cool, lots of facts on Chinese custom, and Mulan is a kick a** girl!
Which Disney movies and characters do you wish old Walt never created, and which ones are your treasures?

I LOVE Rapanzul from Tangled! And Ariel (as the little mermaid trilogy is my favourate disney films); but in Cindarella 3, A twist in time, it was good because she had to work for her own good-commings which made it better.

Rapunzel was pretty awesome.
I liked Mulan the best, over all the Disney princesses. I also find Kida a pretty good princess. (She becomes a victim but she had that ferocity in her for her dad).
Then there comes the less supported characters like Megara and Esmeralda that I like. Not bad in my opinion, just victims. Jasmine was all right, but then again princesses like her, Meg & Esmeralda(not princesses but still) Ariel, Aurora and maybe Cinderella were always the damsels of distress. It questions a little girl who seeks a role model. I certainly enjoyed Tiana's role in the Princess and the Frog. That is what you call a role model.
I love reading books about heroic independent women. They influence me to have that firey spirit. I guess that's why Mulan, Rapunzel, Tiana and Kida are my favourite Disney damsels. If you count Anastasia from Don Bluth's film(not Disney), she's a fave of mine as well.

Imma move this to the movie forum, 'kay?

I think my favourite as a child was Belle - she had brown hair, her dad was crazy and she loved to read. And she fell in love with the Beast. Mulan's kinda cool, but I also prefer Meg and Nala. I know Nala's a lioness, but she's a princess too! She always beats Simba and knows exactly what she wants.

Heh, I can think of one, and it'll seem odd...

Judge Claude Frollo.

Yes, I'm serious. He's so twisted in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and it makes me happy. ;)

I used to like Aladdin and Jasmine but then when I read the story from the Arabian Nights I hated Aladdin!Ariel is cool but Eric is good for nothing....I think I would have to say I love Eugene and Rapunzel.

Dude. My all time favorite Disney movie is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I've seen it about 70 million times, and I even bought it on DVD so I can watch it whenever I want. The book is really good too, but as you probably already know, it's DRASTICALLY different from the movie. I dunno, it's just a lot more mature than a lot of the other Disney movies, it has a gorgeous well animate cathedral, the soundtrack is killer... I mean come on how can you argue with Hellfire? EPIC.

I like Alice in Alice in Wonderland. I like her 'cause she's meticulous... She's intelligent and disturbed when she forgets some lines of her poems... Love her...
I also like Cinderella because of her humility and responsible attitude. Even if she lives in a royal palace, she never becomes lazy.

I´m pretty fond of Emperor Kuzco, I´ll have to say. My favourite character is a tie between him and Darkwing Duck (nobody said it had to be a character from a movie, right?). ^_^

As for favourite movie, there´s a lot of candidates - Hercules, Wall-E, Tangled, The Emperor's New Groove, The Lion King, Mulan... the list might as well go on, because they really have made a lot of nice movies. =)

my favorites are Mulan, Tarzan, and Treasure Planet, cause there's a cyborg pirate!!!!
Mulan kicks butt, and Tarzan is awesome cause he tree slides or surfs or skates.

Cinderella... She just annoys me. But mulan, she's a different story:)
I sat down and tried to write a story.

"Ian MacArthur is a wonderful sweet fellow who wears glasses and peers out of them with delight."

That was the first sentence. The problem was that I just couldn't think of the next one. After cleaning my room three times, I decided to leave Ian alone for a while because I was starting to get mad at him.
