Pushing Daisies

Postby timn8r » Sun Sep 21, 2008 3:50 am

Anyone out there a fan of pushing daisies? It truly is a great show. One of my friends might be a new character in the next season. Im not kidding if he makes it look for Nico in the end credits

I haven't seen the show, but I want to.

Why?

One person: Kristen Chenoweth. Need I say more?

I like pushing Daisies.

We won't have the new series over here for ages... =(

True. She's really amusing in it actually... XD

They make her sing a fair bit. She's pretty good.

LAWLZ. MAKE her sing, you say? Excuse me while I die laughing. Her singing is most likely why she got the role! Kristen Chenoweth has a Master's in Opera Performance, has won a Tony for her role in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown on Broadway, was nominated for another Tony for her role in Wicked as Galinda, has won a Drama Desk Award, is in several feature films, has a recurring role on a critically acclaimed television series (The West Wing) has out two albums, has been featured in on a dozen magazine covers, has landed spots on Leno, Letterman, Ellen, Fergueson, and others, and can waltz herself right back onto Broadway in whatever show she chooses. That woman can hit notes (and hold them!) that I never knew existed.

She's not 'pretty good'. She's FANTASTIC. [/hero worship]

I saw the first two episodes when they premiered last...year, I think. I love the show, but was unable to catch the episodes of the first season. I want to rent them so that I can be prepared for Season Two, which actually premieres Wednesday. Which is...TOMORROW. *gasp* I really have to catch up on this show! It's awesome, as is Lee Pace, Jim Dale, Kristen Chenowerth, and...I was about to say Zooey Deschanel, but it's Anna Friel. XD

I've got some bad news for Pushing Daisies fans: :(

'Pushing Daisies' creator Bryan Fuller says he might return to 'Heroes'
In the wake of coexecutive producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander getting fired from Heroes, online fans have been crying out for former Heroes writer (and Pushing Daisies creator) Bryan Fuller to rejoin the show. Apparently, somebody is listening. Fuller told EW.com that he's open to a comeback. "I am exclusive to Daisies through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January," says Fuller. "If Daisies isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at Heroes."

It seems unlikely that ABC will pick up more episodes of the critically-beloved Daisies; the show is currently ranked at No. 64 and attracts a mere 6.14 million viewers. NBC-Universal could score major points with its ever-impatient fans if the network rehired Fuller, who not only wrote for Heroes in its first season but was responsible for "Company Man" — an episode widely hailed as the series' best single hour (the episode's unusual single-character focus is frequently cited as the model the series should follow going forward).

Yeah, I heard about that. There's a petition going on somewhere to keep Pushing Daisies on air, but they rarely listen to petitions. *sigh*

Awh i heard about this. Apparently the rest of season two is going to be drop now. We haven't seen any of it over here yet. Seems like a shame...

You never know, unlikely but it might get picked up again. Fingers crossed.

This show used to run on a channel I could see, but they simply stopped it halfway through the season. It´s, I dunno, two years ago now, and that still frustrates me.
But I really liked it. :)
