Plus I cracked up when she made me watch the pilot with the characters auditioning. I would watch it, but I can't be fussed to catch up and I really don't like watching TV all that much. :/

I watched the first episode, or maybe it's the Pilot? Idk, they showed two eps in a row here but I only watched the first one. First of all, that says something straight away - it did not keep my attention at all. And it was just so... American.
Let me try and explain - there are some American shows that I adore, (Gossip Girl, House, Grey's Anatomy etc etc.) but Glee just seemed so fake and annoying. I hated the voice overs throughout the episode, especially the teacher's. I mean, he's 30 something, he just doesn't fit in there. They tried to put too much depth into the characters and tried to do too much in just one show, and it really didn't work for me. The main girl has the most annoying voice/accent I have ever heard D: It makes me want to cry. And all the teachers are far too quirky, and the whole high-school thing far too overdone.
Idk, I really really didn't like it. I guess I should give it a chance, but if it can't keep me interested for one episode then I don't think it's worth watching.
Not to mention I watched it straight after watching an episode of Life on Mars which is an amazing show, so it just paled in comparison even if they're completely different "/
