My faves:
The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: Eight Grade Bites
The Crossing Of Ingo (from the Ingo series)
Ringmaster (From the Darcie Lock trilogy)
Inkheart
The Undrowned Child (It has one sequel but I think it counts as a series if the author writes another to make a trilogy)
Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident, (and The Opal Deception, and The Lost Colony).

There are some series I read so long ago, I can't remember well enough to decide on a favorite...(This makes me realize how few new series I've read lately. X3)

Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox

Books of Bayern: ...Hard to decide, probably Goosegirl, but Forest Born was good, too. (The atmosphere reminded me quite a bit of Mansfield Park. It was kind of...emotionally oppressive, but I guess maybe that's something I like? XD)

Pendragon: The Reality Bug

The Hunger Games: the first one, though for the movies, I'm not sure if I could choose. X3 (They're all so well done.)

Percy Jackson (The Heroes of Olympus): The Lost Hero

Alex Rider: Scorpia (been sooo long since I read it though X3)

Harry Potter: Probably The Order of the Phoenix, but the Halfblood Prince is a close second.

Ender's Game: Again, so long since I read the series, but I remember being quite impressed with Xenocide. (Though the original is hard to beat.)

The Queen's Thief: The Thief

Animorphs: The Andalite Chronicles. (Though coming close to it are The Hork Bajir Chronicles, The Reaction, The Separation, The Prophecy, and In the Time of the Dinosaurs.)
“After all, absolutely no one can help but suspect a criminal, liar, and manipulator of committing crimes, lying, and manipulating. And of course, no one is more aware of that simple fact than Artemis Fowl.”

Opal sets into motion her most diabolical scheme yet, to frame Artemis and turn his closest friends against him. Only this time she has a new calculating partner who knows Artemis better than he knows himself. [Post TAC]
