Postby Immortal » Sun Jul 19, 2009 12:43 pm

We all have our personal tastes, so what's your favorite in any book series? No two book is exactly the same, and each has it's perks that sets it apart from the rest. This is also for you guys to see if there are few book series out there that you've missed.

The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next)
Ptolemy's Gate (Bartimaeus Trilogy)
Specials (Uglies Trilogy)

Mister Monday (Keys to the Kingdom)
Night Watch (Discworld)

Because we all like sharing? :lick:

I don't read that many books (darn shame...), but I still have 'favourites' in any given field of stuff that I like.

Bartimaeus: Amulet of Samarkand (though Ptolemy's Gate was good, Immortal, I liked it a lot too)
Harry Potter: Prisoner of Askaban (weird, isn't it. My favourite is the only one which doesn't have Voldemort in it..)
AF: TOD
Keys To the Kingdom: Sir Thursday (then Mister Monday)
Discworld: Wee Free Men
Narnia: Prince Caspian
HIVE: Escape Velocity
HDM: The Subtle Knife
LOTR: The Hobbit
The Oracle Prophecies: The Archon
Shapeshifter: Dowsing the Dead
Belgariad+Malloreon: Magician's Gambit
Elenium+Tamuli: The Ruby Knight
Chrestomanci: The Lives of Christopher Chant
Percy Jackson: Battle of the Labyrinth
Septimus Heap: Queste
Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports

Seriously, anybody who enjoyed AF, should check all of these series out! It's uncanny, how though we've read AF, there's so many other books that we've all read as well! It's majorlight cool!
Thankyou for my avvie, Rain! I luv it!!!

It'll come to you.

Wow, I am outnumbered! I loved Ptolemy's Gate, but I preferred Amulet of Smarkand! Septimus Heap is ace - Flyte is probably my 2nd favourite. Syrens is out on 29th September - check this out!

Spoiler:
In this fifth book in the Magykal series, Septimus ends up on a captivatingly beautiful island, one of seven set in a sparkling sea. He's stranded there with his badly injured dragon, Spit Fyre, along with Jenna and Beetle. There are some strange things about the island, including a Magykal girl named Syrah, a cat-shaped lighthouse that has lost its Light, and an eerie presence that sings to Septimus—can he escape the persistent call?

Trouble is also brewing for Lucy and Wolf Boy, who have become entangled with some nefarious sailors at sea, and for Milo Banda, Jenna's father, who is harboring a mysterious treasure chest in his ship's hold.

Charismatic storyteller Angie Sage continues Septimus Heap's Magykal journey with more laugh-out-loud adventures, more enchanting charms and spells, and an ever-deepening understanding of the interior life of a young hero.
Thankyou for my avvie, Rain! I luv it!!!

I'm even more outnumbered! Golem's Eye was my least favourite one, and though Ptolemy's gate ran a close second, I actually think my favourite was Amulet of Samarkand. Ah well. Each to their own.

If you find any poisonous plants in your tea, just to let you know, it wasn't me.

Don't pop my bubbles. I'll get depressed.
