I'm a HUGE fan of Hellsing. <3 It has something epic about it. Also, I totally dig Violinist of Hameln, although the least people would read it. XD It's because the beginning is strange and... Well... Not appealing. Apart of that, I like Ludwig Revolution, and Tramps Like Us. I know... XD All of them are mangas. But damn! they're good.

If anybody's looking for a good comic, I HIGHLY recommend Atomic Robo. It's new, and from an indie publisher (Red 5, not DC or Marvel), but extremely high quality and a whole lot of fun.

Brian Clevinger (the writer) has the Free Comic Book Day episodes up on his site: FCBD 08 FCBD 09 The Yonkers Devil

The 09 one with Dr. Dinosaur is my personal fave.

I just found a new comic that is SO GOOD. I've only read two issues and it's already on par with Fables, which I've read 11 volumes of and have developed a deep-seated, long-standing, passionate affection for. It's called The Unwritten, and it's about a guy called Tom Taylor, who has been raised his whole life thinking he was the source of inspiration behind his father's best-selling Tommy Taylor books. Until someone points out that his social security number belongs to a dead woman. That the childhood pictures of him are actually of other boys. Tom Taylor might actually BE Tommy Taylor from the fantasy novels. It's so good.

Also, I started reading House of Mystery, and that's not half bad either, even though it's a bit grotesque at times because it's a horror comic.

I've just discovered Hetalia, a manga (and anime) where the countries are represented by people, who kind of arethe countries. So England is a guy who loves tea, Italy's obsessed with pasta, etc. Love it so much - it's brilliant!
Thankyou for my avvie, Rain! I luv it!!!

Do not let the Cat out. No matter what I tell you. :shiny:

I just started this brilliant new comic series called iZombie, and it's freaking hilarious.

It's about a girl named Gwen who works in a graveyard. Her big secret is that she's a zombie, she has to eat a brain every couple of weeks to prevent herself from going all night-of-the-living-dead and losing her memories and looking like a corpse, ect. But when she digs up the person's brain and eats it, their last thoughts come crowding into her head. Like Fred, who was murdered, and is now crying out for vengeance. Gwen has to solve their last requests. It's great fun.

OH, and I do enjoy the occasional DeathNote. I'm really not into japanese comics (even though I used to be), but for DeathNote I make an exception.

Does anyone here enjoy western comics as much as I do?

I recently got a deluxe edition of both Batman: The Killing Joke, and Batman: Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader.

HOLYGOD I LOVE BATMAN. And Robin. The Dick Grayson/Nightwing Robin. He's the best.

I used to read a bunch of manga, but I don’t read as much anymore. I still read the ones I used to read I just kind of stopped looking for new ones.

And I never liked “American” (British? Western?) graphic novels because I always associated it with super-heroes. But this year I read V for Vendetta and Watchmen, both very awesome. I’m now trying to get my hands on Scott Pilgrim and this ultimate edition of Sandman.
