How can trees take up more space than oceans if the oceans take up 70% of Earth's area? Are there floating trees?

Even if they had roots, would they be considered roots if they're not rooted to anything?

Would floating trees be able to survive, then?

Isn't the general shape of a tree a bit too vertical for it to balance well in the ocean?

Which do you think seems more suspicious? An alien-looking craft hovering in the yard of a country home, or a floating doorway with a centaur standing in it?—Domovoi Butler

Who said they were floating on the sea? Why not just on the air above ground? And if there were floating trees, why should the laws of physics allow that but not allow trees to balance upright?

Isn't this more a matter of "is it allowed?", since it obviously can be done?

What is this whole difference between "can" and "may"? People don't say "may I have water?" they say "can I have water?".

Isn't it strange how both "can" and "may" have several completely different meanings? (Tin cans, the month of May…)

How can you know when there are too many words? Will dictionaries explode or something?
