I really like Linkin Park, and it's the one band that's different from my normal music.

I think I love the lyrics the most, they always mean something, and the composition is always top notch. They also do their own album art, which will always deserve praise because there are few artists that diverge from just their music. The album art is almost always just used to look pretty, but Linkin Park thinks otherwise.

They also strive to keep evolving which is something respectable, they don't go with what's popular, they do what they want to do, and that's evidently created them a massive fanbase.

Their music always starts with a big bang, and I'm a person of simple pleasures, I can't deny how epic it sounds when the intro finally picks up into the lyrics. I think Breaking the Habit has the best hold for me music composition wise. There isn't necessarily a big "bang," but the guitar jumps in right when you hear this noise that sounds like something "approaching."

Lyrics wise, I love In Pieces The lyrics are so highly contradictory, it feels like it stings. The truth about how hypocritical we can be in love, and how in the end it just messes everything up.

Thus ends my rave for Linkin Park. XD

Linkin Park is the best~ My favorite songs are In The End, Numb, Leave Out All The Rest and Shadow of the Day. I like all of their songs, though. I keep listening to their album Minutes to Midnight over and over again. And Hageshii_Ame, you're so right when you said that their songs always have meaning. It's part of the reason why I like them. :wuv: And yes, the intro is something I always look forward too.

I'm starting to feel that I really like the way Chester sings in A Place for My Head and Forgotten. The tone is a bit sinister, and sort of... twangy...? I don't know how to quite describe it.

I know this is late and all, but...I just can't let this thread be DED.

I finally got the Minutes to Midnight CD from the library, and I feel in love with a bunch of songs...namely Shadow of the Day, No More Sorrow, and Valentine's Day. I love the others too...but yesh. I think I liked Hybrid Theory better, and Papercut it ALWAYS going to be my uber favorite. :)

Yup. I definitely loved Valentine's day and In Pieces the most out of this album, but Breaking the Habit and In the End will always be my favorite.

I just really like seeing how much they've evolved as a group. They're not afraid to try something new.

Hmmm...Breaking the Habit, which album is that in? I don't remember seeing it on Hybrid Theory or Minutes to Midnight.

I can't remember In Pieces, but I'll listen to it...chances are i probably like it, I just forgot what it sounds like. :P

Totally...I hope they can keep coming up with good songs.

I agree with the 'sinister' part. Well, I've only heard the Reanimation version, but I trust that the lyrics stayed the same. Forgotten, or FRGT/10 is about how society has degraded to its current state, and corruption of the human mind. A Place for my Head/Plc. 4 Mie Haed is...uh...think about Foaly's relationship with Ark Sool. That would be how I would define it.
