Musicals

Postby FoalysGirl » Mon Feb 23, 2009 5:43 am

Okay so I'm a dork and LOVE musicals. I've seen Les Mis, Lord of the Rings, Oliver Twist, Oaklahoma, Beauty and the Beast and many more. I've also participated in many like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Anything Goes and Slice of Saturday Night. (For any of you British Musical lovers.)

I'm wondering what musicals have you seen or been in?
"Edwin, what's the plural for Ox?"
"Oxen. The farmer used his oxen."
"Brian,"
"What?"
"What's the plural for box?"
"Boxen! I bought two boxen of doughnuts."

"I'm the dude, playing the dude, disguised as another dude." ----Tropic Thunder

"Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock." ------ Buffy season 6

I have a lot of hate for musicals EXCEPT Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, which although it's a web show and not something you can go see I still feel like bringing it up. It may be the greatest thing ever. lol :lick:

I love Les Miserables, have since I was six

It's where I learned what a prosititute was- oh education.

When I was in New York I went to see South Pacific in the Lincoln theatre.

I love sweet charity, but it makes me cry so much.

I don't like Wicked remotely.

CALAMITY JANE, is my first love. I get ridiculously turned on by bill hickock, which is bad seeing as the guy just died of OLD AGE. But he's hot in that.

Not seen the film of West Side Story, but I went to see a 50th anniversary production.

..
yeah so I like musicals :P

Oh and I saw Oklahoma, but other than the woman who sings 'I'm just a girl who can't say no' and her man, I just didn't like the people in it. I already loved her because she's in it's A wonderful life

Man I always wanted our school to Les Miserables for our musical theatre class. But the dance company took it before we had the chance to so I was angry.

I have seen Oliver twist, The Wind in The Willows, and i will be seeing Seusical, when that comes out at school

For all of the above i have been backstage crew. I will be doing the same for Seusical(doctor Zeus) i haven't seen it but it looks alright and i only have to pay twenty bucks to see all of them. Unlike people who aren't particpating who pay $20 every show if they want to see.

There are like fifteen shows.

I Love Musicals!
I have seen local theater productions of Les Miserables, All Shook Up, La Cage Aux Folles, Joesph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, and Annie. I've also seen The Lion King (One of my faves) on West End, I've seen Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, The Lion King, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera as well as a few others on Best of Broadway tours. I really really really want to see Billy Elliot the Musical which is playing in New York right now! I have the West End cast soundtrack and it is amazing!!!

I love RENT, I also like Chicago, Phantom of the Opera and Guys and Dolls. If you count Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog then that as well.

My faves are probably Kuroshitsuji 2 and Matilda. I've been in Little Shop of Horrors, High School Musical, Hairspray, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Throughly Modern Millie, and Matilda. I will soon preform Bye Bye Birdie and Wizard of Oz. *collapses*

My favorite musicals are Wicked, The Wiz (Motown version of Wizard of Oz), and Cats.

The productions I've seen are: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, the King and I, Music Man, the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Honk, Annie, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Oliver, Mama Mia, Mary Poppins, Roger and Hammerstine's Cinderella, Aladdin, Into the Woods, Les Mis, a Christmas Carol, Once on this Island, Willy Wonka, Phantom of the Opera, Little Women, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less.

I've been in: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Music Man, the Little Mermaid, Annie (as Ms. Hannigan! Evil+slightly insane= FUN!!!!), Wizard of Oz, Oliver, Mary Poppins, a Christmas Carol, and Little Women.
In Little Women I was Beth, and I got to die onstage. The hardest part was not laughing!
I've also had spots in the choir for other shows, but not officially.
I'm fine, seeing as you asked.-Foaly
