Oh, this is sooo hard! I love them all, in different ways. Artemis changes so much through the books, and at his best (in TAI and TEC) he's determined to get what he wants, whatever it takes, but still shows emotions. Meg has an interesting and believable past, and someone said someone about her being a good girl who got on the wrong track, but got on the right track again - totally true. Fletcher is a smart, curious yet awkward person, and he follows the law so strictly that it hurts people (since I can't word it better); like how
. Conor is ambitious and honourable, but Little Saltee makes him tougher and less good-hearted. Cosmo... well, it's been a while since I re-read The Supernaturalist, (more than a year) I don't remember this one as clearly as the others, so... I can't really pinpoint what's so good about him, I just like him, 'kay?
EC is awesome at creating characters. They're all unique with their quirks, and they feel so alive! It's not uncommon for me to feel the feelings one of the characters feel. They're also very likable, it takes a Bonvilain for one to dislike a character.
But, back to the question... Artemis is the most original one, so I'm kinda leaning towards Artemis, but not enough for me to be sure. So, it's even.
