okay, let me just conferm this. if i want to start a new RPG, first i have to give a very detailed explanation of characters, setting, and plot, and then just wait for people to join?

Pretty Much. You don't have to set characters. This way anyone who see's it can join if they like it. Some people find it hard to play an AF character because they hae to be in that charcter all the time. What you should do is, write up what's happening, and then give a number of rpers you need. Once you have that i would create an OCC. Then you wait for the people to join.

Yes, you create an OOC thread in the correct forum and people will go there to talk about the rp etc.

Okay, okay. So, just to make sure. First you make an RPG and describe in detail the plot, setting, and your characters, and then you wait for people to join. Then after that you go to the OOC forum and discuss the RPG in OOC.

am i getting this?

Pretty much. I would create the OOC thread as soon as you have created the main RPG. Tha way people can ask questions about the RPG. Hope that helps.

Does all roleplays have to be AF related? I'm guessing they do, but I wanted to check anyway.

Well, so far they have been. If you want to create a non-AF rp, I'd be fine. I want to introduce non-AF role-plays but idk how they'd be recieved yet. So yeah, go ahead if you want to! I'd love to see some non-AF ones around myself; I havn't rp'd in aggges.

I like the idea, but you weren't sure how other AFcers would take it right. Well, you could create a sub-forum, and then anyone who doesn't want to see them doesn't have to. Or we could hold them in the competition sub-forum, and submit our entries via PM. I know this shouild probably be put in the suuggestions thread, but i felt it was close to this topic.

Feel free to do it in this forum and we'll see how it works. If it's popular, we'll create a sub-forum.

I'm having trouble understanding the new rule. Exactly what happens if someone in your RP doesn't post.

Is it the person who complains about it hat gets pushed away froom the RP, or the person being complained about? And the same with getting banned?

If someone joins a role-play and then never posts and isn't commited, the other members can complain and get them kicked out of their role-play as it hinders its progress. If this person is always joining role-plays and never commiting, he or she would get a ban from the rp forum.

Well, I guess I should be kicked out of Captive. I haven't posted there in a while.

*laughs* No one has posted there in a while, Griffar. Don't worry, I think that RP's dead anyway.
