[ARCHIVE] Olyphant as Foaly... not a rumour!

Matt wrote:We now have unignorable evidence that Olyphant is definately Foaly... here is an excert from comingsoon.net...

...When asked about future plans, Olyphant told that he was developing a mini-seiries for Fox which may have a movie follow up. He also said that he is in talks for the upcoming Artemis Fowl movie (2008) but he cannot say any more about either...

*huffs at you* TC, you naughty person, why didn't you also copy over my post disputing the fact that this website showed that Olyphant is definitely Foaly? Razz

How is that unignorable evidence that he is definitely Foaly? It is, at best, evidence that he or one of his representatives have at some point talked to someone involved in the movie and he wasn't immediately told to go away. "In talks" does not automatically mean "got the part".

Now it might be that he's been cast, but this article is certainly not confirmation of that.

Just to stop you all from tying yourselves up in knots.

I still remember when it was 2001, and I was groaning and moaning because we'd have to wait until 2003/2004 for the movie...

If they want fans other than 20 year olds, they should hurry up.

Wow...They said it would be released 2003/2004? *sigh* By the time I'm fifty, they're still going to be pushing the release date further and further...

Well, if you think about it, two years isn't THAT bad. At least they'll take time making it. But then again, they might not start until a year from now. ^^;

Yeah, two years isn't that much (well, it kind of is...I died waiting for PoA to be released). But will they actually start? Like Gus said, they said in like 2001 they would release the movie in 2003/04. It's 2006. When will they actually start?

We should make one of those online petitions to urge them to start making the movie. I'm sure it would get a lot of signatures.

By the time they finish we'll all have grey hair. Maybe they won't make it all. Shocked The delays point slightly in that direction.

<partly offtopic>Well, HGTG-movie delayed 20 years... They tried to make it on 80's (or that's what I have heard...), but, I don't know why, they didn't make it.</partly offtopic>

I guess that the AF-movie will come out till year 2010...

Well at least then I can make my kids hooked on Artemis Fowl then I wouldn't look increadibly childish going to see it.
Unfortunately, my internet at home (I'm in school at the mo) has gone caput, much to my dismay. Hense misterious disappearence.
