I recomend(sp?)
-Fever 1973 by Laurie Halse Anderson- It is historical fiction and is based on when yellow fever epidemic was in Philadelphia, PA. A really sad yet amazingly written book.

-Stargirl and Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli are some of the best books ever. Also an amazingly well written book.
"A good friend will come bail you out of jail.... But a true friend will be sitting next to you saying WE screwed up, but we had fun!"

Strangers stab you in the front,
Boyfriends and Girlfriends stab you in the heart,
Friends stab you in the back,
But best friends poke each other with bendy straws.

Definitely, definitely, definitely. It's one of my favorite books ever. If you're interested, the book club is having a discussion on it right now. :)

"I know, you had it sorted."
"Well I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?"
"It's King Edmund, actually. Just King though. Peter's the High King."
"So you're bravely refusing to fight a swordsman half your age?"
"As opposed to hundreds of years later, when you're younger."
"I'm older and I don't think I want to understand."
"Keep smiling."
"The last time I didn't believe Lucy, I ended up looking pretty stupid. "
"This didn't just happen. Cair Paravel was attacked."
"I left my new torch in Narnia."

Pretty sure none of these were mentioned.

The Door Within Trilogy by Wayne Batson
The Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart and Illustrated by Chris Riddel (There is a thread on these if it isn't dead by now)
The Tale of Desperaux by Kate Dicamillo

That's all for the moment.

I don't know if these have been mentioned before...

Have any of you ever read the Attolia series, by Megan Whalen Turner? It's a trilogy, and the three books are The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, and The King of Attolia. These books are honestly some of the best books I have ever read. They are witty, fun, original, and suspenseful. Definitely some to read before you die.

So read them or I shall spear you...
"But what, Ron? What could be wrong?"
"I've got a secret affliction!"
"Disgusting!"
"You don't even know what it is, Harry! It's lice."
"Get. Out."

"Ah, Harry! I've been waiting for you. Avada Ke-"
"No time to chat, Voldemort! Gotta go!
"Oh, but, but... *sob* every time I try to kill Harry..."

Ooh...Acorna by Anne McCaffery and Margaret Ball is an awesome book, if you like Sci-Fi and all that good stuff.

*Abarat by Clive Barker (It isn't one of his horror book.)
These are so refreshingly unique.
If you finding all books starting to become the same,
this is the one for you. It is a novel but it is also beautifully illustrated.
I can't begin to give this book the props that it deserves.

*13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
I'm not usually one for teenage drama, but this is one of my favorites.
At times it's depressing and other times it makes you smile.

*Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan
Excellent medieval action series centered around Will- a ranger, an elite class of archer.

*The Pendragon Adventure
Sci-fi series centered around Bobby Pendragon, a Traveler, who travels to different worlds fighting a rival Traveler, Saint Dane.

*NightWatch series by Sergei Lukyanenko
A series about two rival forces, the Night Watch and the Day Watch, set in modern Moscow. Complete with magic, vampires, and a deeply involved plot line, this book most certainly warrants a read.

*Mortal Instruments trilogy
An urban fairy tale, and who doesn't love urban fairy tales?
About a girl who meets a mysterious boy and learns she is a Shadowhunter, a person who is part angel and hunts demons.

*The Thief Lord
A modern classic. It is about two brothers who run away to Venice and get taken in by a gang of kids, headed by Scipio, the mysterious Thief Lord, who steals from the rich to provide for them.

(That's all I got for now. =])
xxShe was silenced.
And, oh, how that silence burned.xx

Must you take all mine?

Surviving Antarctica Reality TV 2083 is pretty good.

It's about five teenage kids who don't know each other at all, and are sent to Antartica for a reality TV show. They have to make it to the South Pole, using more or less the same things that Robert Scott used in 1912. It has some excerts (um... sp?) from Scott's journal, too. Plus, as the title says, it takes place in 2083. It's not avery nice future, not like the Third Earth of MacHale's Pendragon series.

- Felidae by Akif Pirincci ( German cat murder mystery! o: )

That's all I can think of at the moment.

George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. I'm only on the second book, but it's absolutely amazing so far- possibly even on par with The Lord of the Rings for me (and I'll admit that a big part of the reason I'm so obsessed with LotR is the nostalgia factor).
"eeeep!" says the insane chibling.
And then. . .

It attacks.
