Um...? ANY book can be given both praise and abuse. People on AFC have both praised and abused Artemis Fowl in the past. I'm not quite sure what your point is here.

I am just bouncing around books here, just to see whether people like them or hate them.

You DO realize Uglies is also in AFC's books to read before you die, don't you?

Sorry if I offended any fans of Uglies, but that book didn't strike me as particularly interesting...just my opinon...

Anyway, as was mentioned in this topic before, you can't really tell people never to read a book. Any reading at all is recommended. Yeah, books can be criticized and praised, as Diana pointed out, and not to be whiney, Immortal, but that post struck me as a bit rude.

Sorry for being rude, I am not a fan of Uglies, in fact, I have never even read it.

Then you're obviously not going to be a fan of it if you haven't read it...

Teenage books are typicly writen in a way so that a main charater seem agnsty and (most) teens feel a conection to that, and don't hate all teenage books; they're not all like that.
It's time I've started coming back here more often.

Er, not a n00bish question, just... A question stemming from an extremely bad vocabulary.

The Oxford English Dictionary wrote:Angst n. Anxiety, anguish, neurotic fear; guilt, remorse.
Or, in more general terms, extreme whiny depression.

My memory seems to have deleted all the bad books I've read...only these are the unfortunate remains:

Harry Potter - I actually used to like the book, but suddenly went off it.

Eragon and Eldest - the story isn't that bad, though it's a bit like LoTR. Eragon is just boring and the Eldest is in some parts rather illogical and generally stupid

Ink Heart - Though not so much because of the story, which wasn't that bad, but because of the style and the structure of teh book

Theos Journey - (I can't find the English title of the book. The original title is Le Voyage de Théo by Catherine Clément). The book tells about the different religions of the world, which is ok, but the background story and the characters are so annoying.

Yeah, those are so annoying. I hate books about teenagers complaining about their life.

So, did you like the wish list? The main character was called Margaret
and it was about hell.

I think she means more like Judy Blume and stuff.

The Wish List and Judy Blume are far, far apart!

What is Judy Blume? Is it so loaded with [expletive] that it is unknown to me?
