I would like to believe in fairies, and I voted yes, but there are some major holes in the way Eoin Colfer describes their life's.
1) it says the fairy's live near the center of the earth, but the mantle in is magma, so it is impossible. They can't live in the crust, because in TOD it has a part where Holly is driving the chutes and has to go through the crust.
2) If fairies are so advanced, why is there no archeological evidence from back when they were still developing?
3) Haven being closer to the earth's core would mean an increase in the earth's gravitational pull. Why doesn't that have any effect on Artemis and butler when they visit?
These points should be forgotten if I want to remain devoted to the belief that the People do exist, but they are hard to ignore.
Although, they could exist in an alternate reality...
I'm fine, seeing as you asked.-Foaly
