I took driver's ed thinking that I'd help my dad drive places (we go on a 16-hour drive to where my grandparents live pretty much ever summer for one), but then after I got my license, I pretty much never drove after that because it always made more sense to me to leave it to my dad as the more experienced driver. XD (Because I had several close calls I was kind of scared to be out there)
But yeah, I never really had a desire to learn to drive either. Because there's was a lot of responsibility being behind the wheel, and I didn't have the incentive of wanting to go places. When I really need to go somewhere, my dad's so nice he'll usually just take me. (: (And now my sister has her license too, and she actually kind of likes driving, so she can go places too, even though she swore she would never take me anywhere since I never took her anywhere. But really, I had her safety in mind...!)
Now I hardly ever drive anywhere except places I know really well, and even then only on occasion. I take the train/bus to my university every day because it's less stressful even though the transit's probably twice as long. But I am really glad I got my license to have to use as an ID whenever I need one (; But I think driving can really help to make you more independent, so I think it's good for people who want to learn.

“After all, absolutely no one can help but suspect a criminal, liar, and manipulator of committing crimes, lying, and manipulating. And of course, no one is more aware of that simple fact than Artemis Fowl.”
Opal sets into motion her most diabolical scheme yet, to frame Artemis and turn his closest friends against him. Only this time she has a new calculating partner who knows Artemis better than he knows himself. [An Artemis Fowl fanfiction, set after The Atlantic Complex.]
